Innovation alternatives and asymmetric hybrids

A new blogpost reports on a workshop Adrian Smith organised for the STEPS Centre recently, and drawing on insights from our grassroots innovation research. The workshop discussed the proliferation of different forms of innovation for sustainability: social innovation, inclusive innovation, frugal innovation, and so forth. The blogpost argues we need to prefix innovation alternatives with care, and not lose sight of the many asymmetric hybridisation’s that take place between different innovative initiatives and categories.
